Speaking Up for Education Research

Gain knowledge on how to most effectively communicate the importance of education research to congressional district offices. The August 2017 congressional recess provides an opportunity to meet with staff members in your local congressional district office to advocate for education research. This webinar will offer specific strategies and advice on how to best prepare for such a meeting, develop your message, and follow up in a meaningful way. It will include updates about current federal education policy discussions to help identify what information offices or members find most useful and how to talk about your research in ways that will be most compelling to them.

We have also provided supporting resources including a sample meeting request, a suggested meeting outline, as well as leave behind materials.
